It was a good clean book to read and if a person is a genealogist there are a lot of suggestions made to help someone find ancestral records. However, the author got quite verbose and brought a lot of unnecessary remarks which were not related to the story that much. Overall I did enjoy the book and am reading another book from the same author.Product details

I enjoy all of Nixon's books; this is probably the best yet.
I enjoyed the book, the characters, and the flow of the story. I plan to read the next book by the author, and hope he writes more.
it was a change from other mysteries I have read. the plot was very intriguing with mini mysteries which all came together in the end.
I really liked this book and the characters in it. I had already read book #2 with the same characters and was glad to meet them again. The story line is quite good with plenty of detail and turns. A really good read and I hope Mr. Nixon writes more books featuring this middle aged couple!
As usual, John Nixon had offered up a page-turning mystery with a genealogical theme intertwined. Always enjoy his mistery books.
This book kept popping up as a recommendation, and I finally gave in. It was supposed to be a suspenseful mystery. Instead, I kept telling myself that if I just kept reading, I'd begin to care. Well, I finished, and I still don't.
I read The Cuckook Clock on my & enjoyed it very much. I thought the story was interesting & unusual, I liked the characters & especially liked that it moved along at a good pace. Necessary details & descriptions given but it wasn't packed too full of on & on ramblings that usually add little to the story. Lately I've found many books seem to be overly written, such as detailing every thought the character thinks & conversations much the same with multiple people...... so reading The Cuckoo Clock was a refreshing change.
