I bought this book because it had a ok story line and great reviews.....Once again it was a big mistake just by the reviews given. The first book was pretty decent but not great. Genesis aka Gee can be some what annoying. She a brat, know it all, thinks she is some kind of bad ass, and basically kinda of a bitch. Her great magical power is that she can see into the future. In book two she becomes a Demon hunter and let's see she still gets her ass beat . They train her to fight against demons when she herself is just a human ...this part of the store is a bit crappy at least give some super power or something semi believable. Despite that she comes off cocky. And a bad ass( yea I know I repeated it again cause she was that annoying). Which is dumb because she isn't the is always making good choices and is a know it all wannabe bad ass. The is the theme of the book. Then there is Seth ...can you say whipped much and puppy dog carter just jumps back on that train.They are both ok, but they are so wrapped up in Gee to me it makes them a bit unlikable....idk what book those other people read but I found it a waste of time and money.I keep thinking damn I bought the third book cause I like reading book series, it took me twice as long to finish this book cause it was so bad I stopped several times......I say rethink before buying this book I wish had...just sayingProduct details

I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I started this series, but it is amazing. THe stuggle Genesis is going through with herself, and the world around her (mom, carter, seth, viola...etc) is amazingly portrayed in this series. This will be one of those books I read over and over again. Can't wait for book 3.
A thrill ride just like the first.
For me, these books aren't deep. If not for the thrill in wanting to know what happens next, these books would bore me. But that's the catch. She's very good at spinning the thrills. And I look forward to the next book to learn the rest of this story. )
This was a good follow up to the Guardian as Genesis goes Buffy the Vampire Slayer and starts to physically train! Her romance with Seth stays solid, which was good because I hate the stories where they constantly profess their love for each other yet somehow they are unsure how the other feels....BLAH!!! None of that here, but I do like how Carter gets a more active role in this story and I like how him and Genesis form a more solid friendship and learn to lean on eachother while obtaining a platonic relationship. Their is a lot of drastic changes in this sequel as Genesis learns to cope with a lot of loss while she grows into an even more mature adult learning to help the angels defeat the demons who are causing their town to enforce a curfew as a "serial killer" goes around killing innocent people! I love the way Vendetta ended and I am desperately awaiting the next installment in the Guardian trilogy!!
This book stuck to the plot from end to end. The extra characters were relevant to the story. Genesis visions were a bit out of whack until the explanation at the end. It was done in a direct manner. Can't wait to finish the trilogy. Just enough romance and mayhem to make the book a pleasure to read.
So the first book seems to be the standard romeo & juliet style of 'can't be together but will anyway' and so you expect the second one to be along the lines of 'fighting to stay together', and proving their love for one another. That doesnt happen. Its just so blah blah repetitive nothing happening nonsense. Not even setting the scene for something to happen. Misleading title. Should be 'quietly simmering anger that is in the background'. There better be more action and development in the next one.
The first book in this trilogy was okay. This one drove me crazy. Genesis drove me crazy. Not enough action. It was pretty much a snooze-fest. I may read the next one but no time soon. I have to read something good to get this taste out of my mouth.

This a series you won't be able to put down and when you read the last line you'll be searching the internet wondering when her next book is to be released. This a fast paced book with great characters that you will love. Guardians, Angels, Demons, and romance, oh my! Buy it! You'll love it! And be sure to read her book not related to the series, but an excellent read Cross My Heart.
